Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."
Welcome to Vertical Kids!
Each weekend, children have the opportunity to experience the life-changing power of Jesus and His Word through worship and story. We’ve designed our kid's environments with your child in mind to be safe, fun, and filled with age-appropriate learning tools.
We have three environments with age-appropriate teaching and activities for Nursery (Ages 0-2), Preschool (Ages 3-5), and Elementary (Grades K-5). All Vertical Kids volunteers have been carefully trained and background checked.
Our Vertical Kids Check-In is located in the main lobby of our building. When you arrive, you will be greeted by a Kids Check-In Volunteer who will help guide you through the check-in and drop-off process! Please let us know if your child has any allergies.
After children are checked-in, they head to their classrooms for warm-up and introductory activities. These activities are designed to introduce the Bible story and get children ready to learn.
Every age group has a chance to worship God each week, with the aim of teaching children how to worship in spirit and in truth. We also believe the Word of God should be taught boldly and accurately. Each week the Bible story and connection to Jesus is presented in both video form and from teachers who open their Bibles and teach with authority. We incorporate all we know about how children learn into how we teach the truth of Scripture.
The remainder of ministry time (between 30-60 minutes depending on the age) is dedicated to a small group experience to follow up on the Bible teaching. For younger children, conversations and activities bring the Bible teaching to life in a hands-on and fun way. As they mature, the small group questions move towards more personal application of the large group teaching. Scripture memorization, prayer and a snack time are also included.
Hold onto your name-tags when you check your child in! Because we value your child’s safety, a volunteer will ask for you to present your check-in tags when you come to pick your child up. They’ll also give you any resources or activities your child may have worked on in class!
