Lead Pastor, Elder
Joe heard the gospel in the spring of 1997 and repented of his sins, trusting in Christ alone to give him a right relationship with God. He has pastored churches in Florida and Tennessee before planting Vertical in 2016. He's married to Dawn and they reside in West Ashley. Joe and Dawn are the proud parents of 4 adult children.
Jeff McCain
Director of Worship, Elder
Jeff was led to Christ in 2011 by the Godly example of his wife, Amanda, and by the gospel discipleship of the men of Harvest Bible Chapel in Chattanooga, TN. He is a nurse by trade and now serves as an elder, worship leader and small group leader. He and Amanda are blessed to have two sons, Braeden and Zeke, who are growing in the Lord. The McCains reside in West Ashley.

Andy was raised in church and knew all about Jesus Christ. In December of 2010 he repented of his sins, trusting in Jesus Christ’s payment on the cross for Andy’s right standing before God. Andy has a consulting business that helps small companies in the retirement plan space grow. He leads the Summerville Small Group and serves as an Elder. He is married to Ginger and has 2 young children, Maddie and Ellis. The Hudson's live in Summerville.

Tim & Stephanie Crowder
Directors of Welcome Teams
Tim and Stephanie Crowder both grew up going to church and hearing about Jesus' sacrifice for their sins from an early age. They both repented of their sins and embraced Jesus as their Savior at different times in their lives and they now enjoy growing in their relationship with Him and serving the church body through the Welcome Team Ministry. Together they have 2 young children and are Realtors in the Charleston area.

Philip Wolfersberger
Director of Tech Teams
Philip trusted Christ alone for his salvation and forgiveness of sins after hearing the gospel at the age of 14. He started working in Media Ministry, while in high school, at a Christian radio station in his hometown in Florida. He and his wife Angela live in West Ashley. Together they have 7 children and 3 grandchildren.

Amanda McCain

Amanda has been following the Lord since childhood. She has helped with church plants in Chattanooga and Charleston. Currently she works from home as a nurse and homeschooler. She and Jeff have two boys - a teenager and a toddler.
