Questions before you visit?
What should I wear?
At Vertical Church, we focus on the heart more than the outward appearance. When you come to one of our weekend services, you will find people dressed in a wide variety of styles from as casual as jeans or shorts, to as formal as suits and dresses. However, most people find themselves somewhere in the middle, most often wearing business casual.
We do ask that people wear clothing that does not draw attention to themselves. We think that what you wear to church should not detract from the worship experience of others around you. We want all of the attention to go to Jesus Christ.
What are services like?
Vertical Church is a friendly church. You can expect a warm welcome when you arrive. When you pull into our parking area, you’ll find friendly people who will make your first visit one that encourages you to return. Our helpful parking ambassadors will direct you as you enter the campus. Then, our greeters will guide you and answer any questions that you have. If you have children from birth through fifth grade, we invite you to check them in at our secure children’s ministry area.
Generally speaking, our service begins with worship, led by a band. Most people stand during this time, however, there is complete freedom to be seated if you prefer. The words of all of the songs are broadcast onto a screen at the front of the Worship Center. Our hope is that you’ll hear songs you know or can relate to, even if you haven’t been to church in years.
Like most churches, our worship includes a time of giving. At Vertical Church, giving is an act of worship. Because of all that God has done for us in Christ, we respond with joyful, cheerful, sacrificial, and generous hearts. Scripture reminds us that “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7), so our offering is not a duty but a delight. It is a tangible way we declare that everything we have belongs to Him and is to be used for His glory. Through giving, we participate in God’s work, fuel the mission of making disciples, and reflect the generous character of our Savior.
As our guest, we ask that you take a few moments to complete our Register, which is passed down the rows each service. The Register is used to help us get to know you a bit. It is a place where you can request information, ask for prayer, let us know your thoughts, or just indicate your presence with us. In any case, we use it to pray for you during the week. You won’t be asked to stand or raise your hand (or anything else embarrassing) just because you’re new.
Vertical Church provides practical Bible messages that help you deal with real-life issues. We’ll even give you a note sheet with plenty of room to take notes. What you learn on the weekend, you’ll be able to use during the week. Our services last approximately 1.5 hours. The majority of our worship happens after the sermon, when our hearts are most ready for praising God.

High-Impact Worship
Jesus said the Father seeks worshippers who worship Him “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24). At Vertical Church, this means our worship must be both Spirit-empowered and Scripture-anchored—full of genuine passion and rooted in God’s revealed truth
In spirit
We invite God’s people to worship with passion and energy because true worship is never casual or half-hearted. Scripture shows great freedom in how we respond to God’s glory—whether clapping, kneeling, raising hands, or lifting our voices—but the focus is never on the expression itself. The object of our worship is always God through Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Because worship is Spirit-driven, it must be genuine, not manipulated or manufactured. Our emotions are involved, but they are a response to God’s presence, not a performance for others. Healthy, Spirit-empowered expressions of praise reflect hearts truly engaged with Him, bringing both freedom and reverence as we encounter His glory together.
In truth
We believe God alone defines how He is to be worshiped, and He has revealed that in His Word. At Vertical Church, we are committed to worship that is anchored in truth—the truth of who God is and what He has done as revealed in Scripture. Every lyric we sing, every word we speak, and every creative expression we offer must be biblically faithful and theologically rich. Worship is not about chasing trends or cultural fads but about submitting to the authority of God’s Word. By aligning our worship with His revealed truth, we ensure that our songs, prayers, and praises exalt the real God of the Bible, leading His people into deeper awe, obedience, and joy in Him.
